Warriors nip Vikings in dual wrestling meet

FORT KENT, Maine —  In the first wrestling match held in Fort Kent in five years, the Warriors recorded a one-point win over the Caribou Vikings Wednesday.

Fort Kent won by a score of 37-36 behind individual victories in contested matches by Ian Dubois in the 160-pound division, Lance Daigle in 106, Reece Pelletier in 152, C. J. Rocheleau in 170 and Jordan Labbe in 195. Colin Biggs took the 113 division by forfeit.

Caribou had three pins against the home team, including Cory Jandreau’s 100th career win, this one against Rylee Theriault in the 145-pound weight class. Also winning by fall for the Vikes were Caleb Robbins in 126 and Evan Michaud in 138. Teammates Angel Riopelle (132), Cage Lister (182) and Chloe Kirschmann (220) were forfeit winners.
