CARIBOU, Maine — The Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce has selected the care coordinators at Pines Health Services for the Customer Service Recognition Award for January 2018.

“This award is given to a business or organization from which a patient or client has received exemplary service,” said Lisa Wark, chamber executive assistant.

“Our care coordination team is honored to receive recognition for the hard work and dedication to our patients we serve who take advantage of this supportive, free-of-charge service,” said Lisa Caron, Pines COO. “Our care coordinators are a group registered nurses and social workers who serve as advocates for our patients. They help patients and their families sort through options and resources. These caring individuals often coordinate multiple services to ensure each patient’s needs are met.”

“As a nurse for nearly 33 years, my role is to always provide high quality care, education, respect, compassion, support and understanding for not only the patients we directly work with, but their families as well,” said Sheila Caron, Pines RN and care coordinator.

“Our team is in communication with all our health care providers at Cary Medical Center and Pines. This comprehensive and coordinated team-based approach enables patients to take an active role in their health status and decision making. Our main goal is to ensure a happy and healthy patient,” she added.
