Mill Pond hears a ‘Who’

HODGDON, Maine — On March 1st, Mill Pond School participated in some special events to celebrate Read Across America Week, focusing on popular children’s author Dr. Seuss.

To help get into the spirit, students (and adults) donned costumes and ‘Seuss-tastic’ hats and enjoyed special food, along with a lot of reading.

The cafeteria staff prepared green eggs and ham in honor of Dr. Seuss. That evening, students and family members were invited back to Family Reading Night.

Jason and Janet Little were the guest readers. They read Dr. Seuss stories to the guests. The students then made bookmarks and enjoyed Seuss-related snacks such as Hop on Popcorn and Dr. Seuss Soup.
