LISBON FALLS, Maine — Gubernatorial candidate and Senate Majority Leader Garrett Mason announced his statewide support of sportsmen. Garrett has been a staunch supporter of Second Amendment rights and protecting the sportsman heritage in our state.

“It is an honor to have the support of so many sportsmen across the state of Maine. I am proud of the work I’ve been able to do in Augusta as Senator, like helping to get constitutional carry passed so that Maine people have the ability to exercise their Second Amendment right. As Governor I will continue to protect the Second Amendment and fight for the policies that put Maine families first.”

“As a three-year member of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine Board of Directors and a former member of the Legislature’s Inland, Fisheries and Wildlife Committee, I am passionate about the preservation of our Maine outdoor heritage. These experiences give me confidence that Senate Majority Leader Garrett Mason is the right choice to serve as our next Governor. As Governor, I know Garrett will always protect the wonderful outdoor heritage that we have inherited from our sportsman of the past and ensure it is preserved properly for the next generation. Having served together for six years in the Maine Legislature, I have seen firsthand Senator Mason’s support to put Maine Sportsmen first. His unwavering support of the 2nd Amendment has earned him an A+ rating from the NRA. Join me in voting for Garrett Mason for Governor on June 12th.”

For the past eight years, Garrett and I have worked together in Augusta to protect our rights and preserve our long lasting heritage in Maine. Please join me in supporting Garrett Mason in the Republican Primary on June 12th.”

“I have been hunting and fishing since before I was 10 years old and consider these sports as a Maine heritage, especially in Washington County where I live. In the 6 years I served with Senator Garrett Mason in the Legislature, I came to know him as a strong supporter of our Maine sporting traditions. I know that, as Governor, he will work tirelessly to protect our hunting, fishing, trapping practices and resources, as well as, our 2nd Amendment rights!”

Honorable David Burns

Whiting, Maine

“I have watched Garrett Mason for the past several years; first from a far, and more recently while working with him in the Maine Legislature. He is absolutely on the right side of sportsman issues and has demonstrated repeatedly through his voting record. Garrett also understands the significance hunting and fishing dollars bring to the Maine economy, which directly affects so many of our citizens all around this great state. As a firearm instructor and hunter, I appreciate Garrett’s strong appreciation of our Second Amendment rights, as he has consistently stood up for and promoted the provisions given us in both the Maine and United States Constitutions. I am happy to support Garrett in his bid to become our next Governor.”

Representative Gary Hilliard
