Residents urged to vote ‘No’ on SAD 1 budget

This is to ask area citizens to consider voting NO on the $25 million SAD 1 proposed school budget on Tuesday, June 12. If the re-vote on the same budget, which we defeated May 1 is defeated again, I’m confident the district, with shrinking student enrollments, can come back with a lower budget proposal. This could help prevent increases in local property taxes, or new school construction ideas. Property taxes in Presque Isle and nearby communities are high. I appreciate your consideration.
