CARIBOU, Maine – Aline Marie Bosse, 83, wife of the late Xavier Bosse, died peacefully Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle. She was born August 23, 1934 in New Canada, the daughter of the late Maxime and Marianne (Frazer) Sirois.
Aline was a lifetime active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was proud to be Xavier’s wife, her children’s mother and mamere to her grand and great-grandchildren. Aline grew up on her father’s potato farm. She helped with the household and her younger siblings. She loved to knit, crochet, and sew; making slippers, mittens, afghans, clothes for her children and quilts. She made crafts and participated in several craft shows. She also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. She worked at Mecon and babysat for several years.
Aline was predeceased by her husband, Xavier, in 2015. She is survived by four children and their spouses: three sons, Daniel and Kathy, and Marcel and Nancy of Caribou, and Mario and Tracey of Limerick; one daughter, Chantal and Randall Wagner of Shippensburg, PA; six grandchildren,Christine Allen and husband, Jason, Derek Bosse and wife, Jayna, Janet Bosse and partner, Jason Theriault, Lindsey Weibley and husband, Marcus, Courtney Bosse and Brandon Bosse; four great-grandchildren, Xavier Allen, Parker Bosse, Damian Theriault, and Colton Weibley; six siblings, Roaul Sirois, Therese Hebert, Jeanne Chartier, Gilberte Jalbert, Yvette Sirois, and Lorette Paradis; many nieces and nephews. Aline was predeceased by four brothers, Fernand, Roland, Joseph N., and Louis; and one sister, Rolande Dumais.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
