Roger W. Coté

EASTON & DANBURY, CT, Maine – Roger W. Coté, 78, husband of Ruth (Norton) Coté, passed away Sunday evening, July 1, 2018, at a Presque Isle, healthcare facility, following a brief illness. He was born April 2, 1940, in Bronx, NY, the son of Roland and Juliette (St. George) Coté.
Roger was a graduate of the DeWitt Clinton High School, Bronx, NY and attended New York City Community College earning a degree in engineering. He served in the New York National Guard and was married to Ruth Norton on November 6, 1993.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Ruth Coté of Easton; two sons, Joseph Coté and his wife, Sunok, Laurence Coté Sr., all of Danbury, CT; one daughter, Jillian Coté of Mars Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Walter Jahns of Winter Springs, FL; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Jonathan, and Theodore Coté, all of Danbury, CT, Cheryl Coté of New Haven, CT, Laurence Jr. and Dylan Coté, both of Danbury, CT, Jamie MacKay of Easton; one niece, Erika Budke; two great nephews, Jordan and Justin Budke.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday August 10, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 170 Main Street, Fort Fairfield with Rev. Kevin Kinsey officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will follow the service in the church reception area. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Coté to the St. Paul Episcopal Church, c/o Gloria Towle, P.O. Box 737, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742.
