EASTON & DANBURY, CT, Maine – Roger W. Coté, 78, husband of Ruth (Norton) Coté, passed away Sunday evening, July 1, 2018, at a Presque Isle, healthcare facility, following a brief illness. He was born April 2, 1940, in Bronx, NY, the son of Roland and Juliette (St. George) Coté.
Roger was a graduate of the DeWitt Clinton High School, Bronx, NY and attended New York City Community College earning a degree in engineering. He served in the New York National Guard and was married to Ruth Norton on November 6, 1993.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Ruth Coté of Easton; two sons, Joseph Coté and his wife, Sunok, Laurence Coté Sr., all of Danbury, CT; one daughter, Jillian Coté of Mars Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Walter Jahns of Winter Springs, FL; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Jonathan, and Theodore Coté, all of Danbury, CT, Cheryl Coté of New Haven, CT, Laurence Jr. and Dylan Coté, both of Danbury, CT, Jamie MacKay of Easton; one niece, Erika Budke; two great nephews, Jordan and Justin Budke.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday August 10, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 170 Main Street, Fort Fairfield with Rev. Kevin Kinsey officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will follow the service in the church reception area.
