CARIBOU, Maine – Wayne W. Hale, 86, died on August 21, 2018, at Caribou. He was born in Caribou on December 3, 1931, the son of the late Walter and Roselia (Giggey) Hale.
He attended the Caribou schools, and married Maxine Woods on August 6, 1957. He was employed as a mechanic for several area garages and then was employed as a driver for Lane construction for many years. Wayne was a member of the former St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, and was a member of the Odd Fellows and the Teamsters Union. He loved to garden and was a true Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Maxine of Caribou; and many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Paul Hale, as well as many special family friends. Mr. Hale was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Aurora Hale, and Dale and Beryl Hale, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Irma and Willis Harmon and Edwina and Gerald McCubrey.
