The Houlton Pioneer Times, is seeking help from coaches and managers in reporting results in a timely manner. When possible, the newspaper requests that game information be sent in as soon as possible after its completion.

Information should be submitted after each contest, and not just for home games as oftentimes, the opposing team may not send in results, or may have local players’ names incorrect.

The newspaper strives for excellence in its reporting. With so many games on any given day, it is not possible for us to be at every game. Therefore, we rely on coaches to send in results so that local teams receive the coverage they deserve.

For soccer, in addition to the game score, results should include who scored goals and assists; how many shots and saves were made for both teams (including name of the goalies); and any comments on how the team fared.

For golf, full results for all squads, as well as any comments on how well the team played are needed.

For football, complete stats, as well as any key scoring drives/plays in the game, and any comments on how the game went are sought.

For cross country, please send the full meet results along with any comments you may have on individual efforts by your athletes.

Results from southern Aroostook County may be reported to News/Sports reporter Joseph Cyr at 532-2282 or emailed to jcyr@bangordailynews.com.
