ROBERT ‘BOBBY’ O. QUINT, HODGDON – Robert “Bobby” O. Quint, 79, passed away Saturday September 1, 2018, at a Bangor hospital. He was born November 14, 1938, in Houlton, the son of Shirley and Madelyn (Shannon) Quint.
Bobby grew up in Hodgdon, and graduated from Hodgdon High School. He then married Noreen Hardy and together they would raise two children. He worked for Toner Farms and Hagan Manufacturing, before he purchased Quint Brothers in 1970. Bobby worked for many years alongside his son, Andy, in the business and never truly retired. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding the side by side, as well as playing cards. He enjoyed these activities best when they were shared with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Noreen Quint of Hodgdon; a son, Andrew Quint and his wife, Bonnie, of Hodgdon; a daughter, Denise Brown and her husband, Roger, of Houlton; five grandchildren, Logan Quint, Jessica White and her fiancé, Matt McBride, Derrick White, Caeley Brown, Jacob Brown; three great-grandchildren, Camille Callnan, Adelie McBride, and Averie McBride. Bobby also leaves behind a brother, Terrence Quint and his wife, Bonnie; several nieces and nephews; as well as extended family, Alex and Lisa Hutchinson and family; and very special friends, Bruce and Helen Folsom, David McGillicuddy and family, and Troy Quint. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Conner Quint and a brother, Lewis Quint.
