Physician returns home to practice in County

CARIBOU, Maine — Pines Health Services has announced that Perham native Dr. Maranda Record has joined the Pines team.

Record is a graduate of Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tenn., with a bachelor’s in chemistry. She received her doctor of medicine degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, Calif.

Prior to joining the local practice, Record completed her residency program at Florida Hospital in Winter Park, Fla., and most recently took part in a one-year fellowship in obstetrics at Florida Hospital as well.

“Dr. Maranda Record is a dynamic and caring physician who will provide excellent care and service to our patients,” said Lisa Caron, Pines’ chief operating officer. “Her specialty is family practice with an emphasis on obstetrics and women’s health. She will be seeing women and pediatric patients at Pines Women’s & Children’s Health Center located on the Cary Medical Center campus.

“In addition,” said Caron, “Dr. Record will also be seeing patients for all aspects of family medicine, including obstetrics, at Pines Presque Isle Family Health Center one day a week. She is welcoming patients at both health centers.”

Record is board certified in family medicine and began seeing patients Sept. 17.  

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, hiking, canoeing and country living. Her hobbies and interests include vegan/vegetarian cooking, nutrition, history, reading and music. She resides in Perham with her family.
