Birch Point Women’s Bowling League

ISLAND FALLS, Maine — Bowling action has returned to the Birch Point Lanes as the Women’s Bowling League began its 2018-19 season.

The standings as of Nov. 2 were: 1, County Girls, 8-0; 2, D.W.B, 8-0; 3, Patten Alleycats, 6-2; 4, Gutter Gang, 2-6; 5, Purple Power, 0-8.

The top five averages were: 1, Beth Edkins, 99.3; 2, Lisa Boutlier, 90.3; 3, Chris Lash, 90; 4, Cassidy Mitchell, 89.3; and 5, Janet Rockwell, 89.3.

The Weekly High Single went to Edkins with a 113, while the Weekly High Three was also Edkins with a 298.

In Men’s League action, the standings after the first week of play are: 1, Gutterballs, 8-0; 2, Rough Riders, 6-2; 3, Strike Force, 4-4; 4, Intimidators, 4-4; and 5, Skinner’s Sandbaggers, 2-6.

The High Single for the week was Austin Bishop with a 121 and the High Series went to Jerry Violette 312.

Team Single for the week went to Intimidators, 530 and Team Series went to Strike Force at 1,498.
