Philip R. Brown

PHILIP R. BROWN, HOULTON – Philip R. Brown, 94, died Thursday November 8, 2018. He was born on July 27, 1924 to John and Abbie (Williams) Brown. He graduated from Houlton High School and devoted his life to potato farming. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
Philip is survived by his sons and daughters, Steve and Sandra Brown of Eddington; Abbie and Kilburn Swallow, Lisa and David Bates, Michael and Gina Brown, Gloria and Corey Austin, all of Houlton. Grandchildren, Tammi Brown and Jody Hammond and their daughter, Devin; Alicia Brown and her son, Raidyn; Jonathan and Heather Swallow and their children, Leigha and Parker; Micah and Makala Swallow and expected new great grandchild; Isaac and Seth Brown, and Will Austin. As well as sister, Marie and Ronald Sargent and family of Bridgewater and nieces and nephews of deceased sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Leo Crafts.
Philip was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis, son Adrian and daughter, Meredith.
There will be not be a public funeral at Philip’s request. A private graveside service with military honors was held at Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton.
