Dinner helps student business leaders raise convention funds

The Presque Isle Regional Career and Technology Center’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America held their annual harvest supper and auction on Oct. 18 at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club.

The Thanksgiving-style meal was catered by Kathy Peary and Mary Trainer.  The club thanked area businesses for their donations of beverages and a fall flower arrangement.

The group held a 50/50 raffle, with Kevin Nightingale of Mapleton winning the pot. Nightingale graciously donated his half back to the club.

Tom Drew from Woodland was the auctioneer for the evening, and kept the crowd entertained.

Students sold tickets and brought items in for the auction. The money they earned from the evening will help pay for convention costs in March 2019 and an upcoming business trip to New York City in April 2019.

Members of the FBLA chapter for the year are:  Kaci Bates, Sarah Beaulieu, Colby Bonville, Harleigh Brewer, Catherine Butterfield, Charlotte Carrier, Kacie Chapman, Meghann Collins, Clay Gregg, Madison Hedrich, Matthew Hedrich, Taylor Hedrich, Gavin Hemphill, Molly Kingsbury, Libby Kinney, Mayce Kinney, Clara Kohlbacher, Alana Legassie,, Libby Moreau, Austin Plourde, Rebecca Rider, Riley Roderick, Alec Staples, Alison Sweetser and Anna Trombley.
