2019 Community Calendars have been ordered, please let the Town Office know if you would like one reserved for you.

Bone Builders Class

Bone Builders class will meet Mondays and Fridays starting at 9:45 in the Recreation Room at the Manor.  Bone Builders is a free strength training, balance and exercise program. To be successful, one should commit to attending twice a week for six months.  Each one-hour classes, held twice a week will increase muscle strength, balance and bone density. This program is offered through Area on Aging, Cary Medical Center & Easton Recreation Department.  FMI contact Julia Allen.

Easton Bears Sweatshirts for Sale

The Easton Recreation Department recently sold pre-ordered sweatshirts.  The orders are all in and should be picked up at the Easton Town Office.

Seniors Happenings

On Monday, Dec. 17 the will be a Christmas Brunch at 11 a.m. at the Manor.  Please bring a small wrapped gift for a Yankee swap. The cost for meal is $3.

Thursday, Dec. 20 at the West Ridge Manor we’ll celebrate with a Christmas Fondue Party starting at 11 a.m. for $5.

Vacation Week Activities – Recreation Department

Friday, Dec. 21 – Wagon Ride We will be going on a horse-drawn wagon ride at Maple Meadow Farms.  There will be hot chocolate & cookies served and participants will make an ornament.  The cost is $10. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.  Please email recreation@eastonme.com to reserve your spot.  Participants will be responsible for payment for all reserved spots.  Bus leaves Easton Elementary at 12 noon and returns to school by 2:45 p.m.  Dress appropriately.

Wednesday, Dec. 26 – Pizza Hut & Ice-Skating First lunch at the Pizza Hut buffett & then skating.  The fee is $12 for skating & buffet. Please be sure your child is wearing socks!  11:45-3:15. *Depart & return from/to the Rec. Center

Thursday, Dec. –  Snow Tubing at Big Rock (weather permitting) We will head to MH for an afternoon of sliding.  The cost is $15 for tubing, pizza & soda. Please be sure your child(ren) is dressed appropriately for conditions. It’s going to be a long afternoon if cold or  wet! Concessions will be available for purchase. 12:40-4:15. Depart & return from/to the Rec. Center.

Friday, December 28 – Movie at the Caribou Theatres The cost will be $6 for ticket, popcorn and soda.  Concessions will be available for purchase. 9-12:30. Depart & return from/to the Rec. Center.
