Adopt-A-Block of Aroostook receives from Vital Pathways

Vital Pathways Chairman Joe Fagnant, left, presents a check to Tammy Goetsch, director of Adopt-A- Block of Aroostook in the amount of $500 through Vital Pathways’ Mini Grant program.

The money was used for playground updates including the purchase of another picnic table, heavy duty rubber mats for the slide and tire swing area. Funds were also used to purchase a heavy duty stain sealant for the playground log retaining wall along with a new tetherball. Hundreds of families utilize the playground space on a yearly basis. Mini Grant programs are released in April and are available for communities and organizations in the Southern Aroostook Area. Vital Pathways was established in 1994 to improve the quality of life in our communities. Vital Pathways also provides organizations an opportunity to develop projects under the umbrella of VP’s 501C3 status. For more information contact Joe Fagnant at 521-3100 ext 3150.
