CARIBOU and PRESQUE ISLE — Griffeth Ford Lincoln recently presented the Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department with a check for $3,300, the proceeds from their DRIVE4UR COMMUNITY event held this past August during the department’s open house.

Sherry L. Bradley, customer relations manager for the dealership, presented the donations to Derrick LaMothe, Caribou Fire volunteer, who originally approached Bradley about doing the event for the department.  According to LaMothe, the funds will be used to help support the purchase of gear and tools, along with helping fund their scholarships.

Organized by Griffeth staff, the event was held at the Caribou Fire Department. For every person who test drove a new Ford vehicle, the dealership and Ford Motor Company donated $20 to Caribou Fire and Ambulance.

This is the 13th event the dealership has organized for local communities, generating to date over $41,000, said Bradley.

The dealership is located in both Presque Isle and Caribou.
