Bank promotes Monticello woman

HOULTON, Maine — TD Bank has promoted Margaret Cook to small-business specialist for the greater Maine region.  

She is responsible for leading the small-business efforts for TD Bank’s retail stores across a region that includes stores from Gray to Fort Kent.

Cook has 22 years of banking experience.  She began her career Freedom Federal Credit Union in Edgewood, Maryland, where she was employed for two years.  She then moved to Baumholder, Germany and worked for Bank of America’s Overseas Division for five years before moving to northern Maine in 2004. 

She joined TD Bank’s Houlton location in 2004 as a financial services representative, where she excelled in her role for 13 years.  She was promoted to Assistant Store Manager in Houlton in 2017, and most recently to her new role as small-business specialist.  

Cook is a resident of Monticello, where she lives with her husband Timothy, a retired US Army veteran with 20 years of service, and their two sons: Justin, who is a junior at Houlton High School, and Jeremy, a sophomore at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.  

She is originally from County Lakes, New Jersey, where she was raised by her parents, Patricia and Terry Ringler. Her father is a retired veteran having served in the Army and federal government for 45 years.
