Viking girls victorious against Foxcroft Academy

CARIBOU, Maine —  The Caribou Viking girls won against Foxcroft Academy by 12 points during a Jan. 20 game, which ended with a score of 62-50.

Caribou had an eight-point lead on the Foxcroft Ponies by the end of the first quarter, and an even greater lead by halftime when the score was 34-15 in Caribou’s favor. Foxcroft started to narrow the gap in the third and fourth quarters, scoring 15 and 22 points respectively, however Caribou ultimately won the game, 62-50.

Top scorers for Caribou were Paige Espling with 19 points, Selena Savage with 12 points, and Ashlyn Bouchard with nine. For Foxcroft Academy, Meghan Spooner scored 12 points, and both Kiya Cook and Ainsley Ade scored 11.
