Woodland man arrested on charges of driving to endanger, eluding officer

CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou police arrested Kurt Doody, 24, of Woodland after finding him driving a yellow scooter with a passenger on a closed ATV trail, according to Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan on Aug. 6.

Police said that Officer Douglas Bell found the scooter driving erratically at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 5. Doody then left the passenger on the side of the road and kept going.

After a short chase, Officer Bell stopped the vehicle and charged Doody with operation of a motor vehicle after license revocation (Class C), eluding an officer (Class C) and driving to endanger (Class E). Doody was arrested on an outstanding no bail warrant and subsequently taken to Aroostook County Jail.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1.
