Climate Change Conversation

January 17, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)
Jan 10 & 17 (Snow Day Jan 24)

Researchers from the University of Maine at Augusta are interested in learning more about how Mainers think about climate change and other major social changes.

These issues affect people differently, and so people think about them differently. We will use conversation and photography to explore the many ways Mainers view current issues in climate change and other social changes.

We want to hear from YOU! Every perspective and every level of knowledge is WELCOME and HELPFUL!

Help us BUILD this community conversation TOGETHER!

Where? The Presque Isle Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library

When? Fridays, January 10th & 17th, 5:00-7:00
(Yes, we need you to attend BOTH sessions.)
(Snow day Jan 24th)

What? We will ask you to attend two community conversations on 1/10 and 1/17. In between those sessions, we will ask you to take 1-3 photographs of things, places, or events that came to mind during our first discussion. We will talk about these photographs in the second session.

What do I get for joining? After completion both sessions, participants will receive $10 in thanks for your time. You will also receive a FREE copy of the community book we will create from this study.

Who? Any adult who lives in Maine (You may bring your kids with you, but they cannot be “study participants”)

How do I join? Go to https://bit.ly/2kxJo6Y, or call or email Dr. Kati Corlew, 207-570-0324, kate.corlew@maine.edu.
