Griffin, Edna Libby, 93, died March 7, 2007 at Mesa, Arizona.
Mesa, Arizona – Edna Libby Griffin, 93, of Mesa, Arizona passed away at home on March 7, 2007. She was born March 31, 1913 in Presque Isle, Maine to Walter Sidney Libby and Elva Belle Farr.
Her childhood years were spent in the joys of farm living. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Heman Evander (Van) Griffin in February 1988. They had been married for 54 years. Van and Edna moved their family to Arizona in 1960 and loved life as desert dwellers. Edna was an avid journal keeper since age 16 and had a gift with words.
She loved being around her family and extended family and is survived by two daughters, Elva (Ken) LeSueur and Nancy Nelson, as well as two sons, Richard (Jeannie) and Keith (Tannis): 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many teaching positions. Her funeral was held in Mesa on March 12th, with burial in the
Mesa Cemetery.
