Skating club presents a

The Skating Club of Maine recently held it’s 25th annual musical on ice, “Blast from the Past,” at the Forum in Presque Isle.
The performance featured a number of nostalgic songs, and performances based on several musicals and movies.

The 2007 musical on ice also featured guest skater Kevin O’Keefe, a Limestone native, who began his skating career at the Forum. O’Keefe has an extensive skating career and dreams of competing in the Olympics. O’Keefe has competed in ice dancing for the United States around the world. O’Keefe is a five time member of the U.S. Figure Skating Team, and has competed in seven national championships. O’Keefe is currently part of the coaching staff for the Crystallettes Synchronized Figure Skating Team at the Dearborn Figure Skating Club in Dearborn, MI.
O’Keefe performed twice during the show. There were also two numbers featuring all the skaters of the club at the beginning and end of the performance, “Mardi Gras,” at the beginning and closing with “Life is a Highway.”
There was a performance of “Ghostbusters,” featuring: Rikki Barrows, Alyssa Guimond, Paige Beaulieu, Kaylee Doody, Katelyn White and Delia Bonner.
Sarah Hebert performed “Material Girl,” as Madonna.
Chelsey Carroll played the part of Maria in a scene from “West Side Story.” Playing the part of the “Jets” were: Kristen Gingrich, Garrison Doody, Judah Olugbemi, Grace Player and Elizabeth White.
Katie Smith and Devin Craig performed “Me and My Shadow.”
Jim Tompkins played Elvis.
“Hello Dolly,” was performed by: Meg Boone, Macey Barker, Savannah Levesque, Sarah Owens, Emily Poitras and Taylor Webster, featuring Carly Bell as Dolly.
Michelle Wyman performed “The Pretenders.”
Alison Bell, Emma Bonner, Alyssa Trombley, Sarah Sjoberg, Arianna Babineau, Kelsie Spooner and Kristina Lord performed, “La Bamba.”
Jessica Scott performed “CATS.”
Marigan Doody and Michaela Bragg performed “Parent Trap.”
Skating to “Rock in the USA,” were: Paige Beaulieu, Lee Ireland, Jessica Aube, Rikki Barrows, Megan Jellison and Sedona Lucas.
Katie Smith, Devin Craig, Jessica Scott, Sarah Hebert, Shayna da Cruz, Emily Greaves, Haley Kelley and Michelle Wyman skated to “Thriller.”
After the intermission Emily Greaves skated to Boston.
“Annie,” was performed with Abbey Player, playing the part of Annie, and Kimberly Cook, Katelyn White, Jenica Harris, Mackenzie Beaulieu, Delia Bonner and Rebecca Malm playing orphans.
“Cinderella” was performed by: Kerstee Spooner, Allison Madore, Connor Cain, Miranda Drost, Caleb Legasse, Brandon Poitras, Paul Bonner and Anna Trombley.
Lee Ireland, Jessica Aube, Megan Jellison, Sedona Lucas and Rachel Olugbemi performed, “Sound of Music.”
Performing, “Dukes of Hazard” were: Alison Bell, Emma Bonner, Alyssa Trombley, Sarah Sjoberg, Ariana Babineau, Kelsie Spooner and Kristina Lord.
Chelsey Carroll, Abbey Player, Carly Bell, Marigan Doody and Michaela Bragg performed to “Grease.”
Katie Smith skated to “Pretty Woman.”
“Wild Wild West” was performed by: Pam Searles, Jim Tompkins, Tammy Ciccolella, Karen Ciccolella, Mari Cochran and Jocelyn Davis.
“Wizard of Oz,” was performed by: Kimberly Cook playing the scarecrow; Jenica Harris playing the tin man; Kristen Gingrich playing Glinda; Grace Player playing the lion, Elizabeth White playing Dorothy; and Emily Poitras playing the Wicked Witch of the West.
Devin Craig performed “Saturday Night Fever.”
“Hernando’s Hideaway,” was performed featuring Jim Tompkins and Louise Krupka. Tango dancers were: Jessica Scott, Shayna da Cruz, Sarah Hebert, Chelsey Carroll, Abbey Player, Marigan Doody, Michaela Bragg, Carly Bell, Michelle Wyman and Karen Ciccolella.
