STURGEON, Warren “Pampy”, 77, died May 12, 2007 at the Bangor Veterans Home. A graveside service will be held May 17, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
PRESQUE ISLE: Warren “Pampy” Sturgeon, 77 died Saturday night May 12, 2007 at the Bangor Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born in St. John, Me. on Nov. 23, 1929, the son of Henry and Melissa (Brann) Sturgeon. Warren served in the U.S. Army Artillery during the Korean Conflict. He worked at the Fairmount Cemetery for 28 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he spent many hours fishing the Presque Isle Stream.
He is survived by his children, Kevin Sturgeon and Theresa, Lonnie Sturgeon, Donna Fraser and Randy, all of Presque Isle. Two sisters, Essie York of Westfield, Hazel Cyr of Presque Isle. Two grandchildren; Joshua and Dylan of Presque Isle. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years Frances (McPherson) Sturgeon in Oct. 2005, a son Calvin Lee, four brothers; Gilford, Neil, Wilmur, and Ronnie, and a sister Reve Brooker.
There will be no calling hours. A military graveside service will be held 3PM Thursday May 17, 2007 at Fairmount Cemetery with VFW Post # 2599 Hayward-Frazier officers officating.
