Marie Exilia (Soucy) Smart

MARIE EXILIA (SOUCY) SMART – 81 died Jan 20, 2007, She was the daughter of Joseph and Celina (Albert) Souy and the wife of the late Camille Smart. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Charitian Burial, 1 p.m. Saturday May 26, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, Me. A committal service will follow in the parish Cemetery. Arrangements are being conducted by the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, Me.
    Westfield and Eagle Lake – Marie Exilia (Soucy) Smart, 81, died at a Westfield healthcare facility on January 20, 2007. She was born on February 14, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Celina (Albert) Soucy. 
    She was predeceased by her husband, Camille Smart, in 1991.  She is survived by one son, James Smart of Vernon, CT, three daughters; Joyce Jandreau of Eagle Lake, Judy Raymond of Mapleton, Jean Duggan of Gloucester, VA; one sister, Florida Lozier of Millinocket, four brothers; Richard Soucy of West Melbourne, FL, Norman Soucy of Satellite Beach, FL, Gordon Soucy of Newington, CT and Gerald Soucy of Green River, New Brunswick; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two very special people in her life, Carla and Darrell Carney of Mapleton. She was predeceased by two sisters, Emelda Mosher and  Lenora Freeman, three brothers; Ted Soucy, Camille Soucy, and Harold Soucy.
    At her request, there will be no calling hours. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle Lake on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11am. Committal service will follow in the Parish cemetery.
    At the request of the family, in greatful thanks for the wonderful care our mom received while living there, those who wish may donate in her memory to the Residents Activity Fund at Southern Acres Residential Care Facility, C/O Rose Allen, P.O. Box 95,   Westfield, ME 04787. Envelopes will be available at the church.  Arrangements are being handled by the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME.
