S. EDWIN ALLEN – Westfield – A committal service will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 25 at Marshall Cemetery in Westfield. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.     WESTFIELD – S. Edwin Allen, 90, died Tuesday night, January 30, 2007 at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born at Westfield on October 25, 1916, the son of Cyrus and Mary L. (Baird) Allen.  
    Edwin farmed, had a trucking business, and owned and operated Mars Hill Implement Co. in Mars Hill. He was a charter member and deacon of the Calvary Baptist Church in Westfield.
    He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years Dorothy (Irving) Allen of Westfield, whom he married on February 6, 1937, two sons, Gary E. Allen and his wife Linda of Wilton, Carl H. Allen and his wife Rita of Westfield, a daughter J. Gail Ruttenberg and her husband David of Auburn, a sister Maddie Irving of Washburn, five grandchildren;  Krayton G. Allen and his wife Carol, Kelli Felkel and her husband Daniel, Matthew Ruttenberg, Daniel Ruttenberg and his wife Krissy, and Sarah Ruttenberg. 5 great grandchildren, Andrew, Haley, Sarah, James and Jessica, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Laurie, and two sisters, Phyllis Pelletier and Cathy Bull.
    Relatives and friends called 1-2 PM Friday, February 2, 2007 at the Duncan Funeral Home, Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services were held at 2 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Palmer and Pastor Lawrence Beals  officiating. Spring interment will be at Marshall Cemetery, Westfield.
