Pelletier crowned bike race champ

The Presque Isle Classic Bike Race took place Sunday morning, with 22 racers from Maine and New Brunswick taking part in the 22.4-mile race.

    Martin Pelletier won the race with a time of 59 minutes and 22 seconds. Coming in second place was Christopher Morse, narrowly finishing ahead of Devin Higgins. Morse completed the race in 59:37 to Higgins’s 59:38.
Brendan McLaughlin was the first finisher in the youth division. His time of 1:00:08 was good enough for fifth overall. Coming in second in the youth division was Kevin Strid in 1:39:32. Third place went to Tyler Strid, whose time was 1:49:34.
Jessica Grass won the women’s division with a time of 1:26:09 and Jenny Hallett was second in 1:29:26 and Linda Page was third in 1:34:19.
Other participants were Paul Corrigan, Marcel Bastide, Aaron Churchill, Mathieau Maltais, John McIntyre, Cary Grant, Tom Towle, Brent Grass, Bob Hallett, Norman Page, Brent Jepson, Stephen Higgins and Leo Freeman.
