Visiting Nurses of Aroostook (VNA) is pleased to once again be hosting its annual golf tournament on Saturday, Aug.18, 2007 at Mars Hill Country Club. Erin Benson of Caribou and Dottie Fitzgerald of Stockholm are this year’s co-chairs.     “We are looking forward to our 4th tournament,” says Erin Benson, a member of VNA’s Community Advisory Board. “In the last three years, the golf tournament has net over $30,000 for our home care and hospice programs and services.
“As the oldest home care and hospice provider in The County, this tournament helps ensure we continue to provide the level of care our neighbors and friends expect from their local VNA and hospice.”
Space is limited to 36 teams with goodie bags for all players. Shotgun start begins at 9:00 a.m. with Awards Barbecue in the early afternoon. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place for men’s and women’s low gross and men’s and women’s low net, as well as contests for closest to the pin and most accurate drive.
Participation in this annual event provides needed funding and support to County families. Visiting Nurses of Aroostook has been providing home care services since 1969 and last year provided care to 916 County residents.
