Rogan, Guy B., Sr., 69, October 16, 2007.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.  Interment was held in the St. Benedict’s Cemetery, Island Falls.Image SHERMAN – Guy Benedict Rogan, Sr., 69, died Oct. 16, 2007, at his home after a three-year battle with lung cancer. He was born June 20, 1938, in Sherman, son of John Francis Rogan and Frances (Brennan) Rogan Bartlett.
    He worked in the woods and did some potato farming. He worked and retired from Sherman Lumber Co. for 21 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and country music, and loved his faithful dog, Jake.
    In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his son, Patrick James Rogan. Surviving are his mother, Frances Bartlett of Millinocket; his wife of almost 50 years, Alice (Carver) Rogan; seven children, John and his wife, Lou-ann Rogan of Sherman, Susan and her husband, Fred Roberts of Arundel, Guy Jr. and his wife, Beth Rogan, of Sherman, Tammy and her husband, Steve Dubois, of Fort Kent, Peggy and her husband, David Robinson, of Sherman, Rose and her husband, Chad Hersom, of Prentiss, and Tracy and her husband, Jerry Young, of Sherman; 10 grandchildren, Shaun, Allyson, Patricia, Rakayla, Guy Rogan III, Destiny, Patrick, CJ, Riley and Kari; brothers and sisters, Carlton Rogan and his wife, Shirley, of Millinocket, Mary Sleeper of York, Gert Thibodeau and her husband, Ned, of Millinocket, James Rogan and his wife, Mary-ann, of York; and many nieces and nephews.
    Friends called 2-4 p.m. Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Benedicta, with Father Joel Cyr, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Benedict's Cemetery.
