Turkey Trot 5K
The annual Turkey Trot 5k will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24 starting at Caribou High School. Registration begins at 9 a.m., the race following at 10 a.m. For more information, contact Dan Harrigan at 498-3226.

Fit and fun day
On Saturday, Oct. 27 the physical education majors club will hold its semi-annual fit and fun day, from 10 a.m. to noon, designed for children in grades one through five.

Youth adventure/endurance clinic
The Maine Winter Sports Center invites young skiers in grades seven to nine for a free adventure-based distance training clinic on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will meet at the Stockholm school. Call Will Sweetser at 227-3322 for more information.
Adult evening activities
Evening activities for adults will start Monday, Oct. 29. Activities will run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Co-ed volleyball will be Mondays, men’s basketball will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, and co-ed dodge ball will be Wednesdays. There is a $1 fee per activity.
Quoggy Jo Ski Sale
The annual Quoggy Jo ski sale will take place at the Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department on Sunday, Nov. 4 from noon to 3:00 p.m. Quoggy Jo is also
buying old skis for the sale between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Presque Isle High School season passes
PIHS athletics department announces that season passes for varsity basketball and ice hockey may be purchased at the athletic office beginning Monday, Nov. 5.
Prices follow: basketball only $30, ice hockey only $25 and combination $50.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24: junior activities at the hall from 9:30 to 11, senior exercise in the manor recreation room at 1 p.m. and after-school cooking from 2:45 to 4:30 at the hall.
On Thursday, Oct. 25: after school program the fall arts ‘n crafts at the hall from 2:45 to 4:30.
On Friday, Oct. 26: junior activities at the hall from 9:30 to 11, senior fall crafts and lunch at the manor recreation room at 11 and swimming lessons departing directly after school and returning at 4:45 to the hall.
On Monday, Oct. 29: seniors Halloween party at the manor in the recreation room at 11 and swimming lessons departing directly after school and returning at 4:45 to the hall.
On Tuesday, Oct. 30: after-school program Halloween party at the hall from 2:45 to 4:30. Don’t forget your costumes. Open to grades one and up. Scrap-booking from 5 to 9, for adults only. Bring a snack to share with the group. Check with Hillary for location.

World cup ski racer
World Championship skier and World Cup racer Dave Chamberlain will visit Mojo in Presque Isle this Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Chamberlain will discuss equipment for individual styles and abilities with area high school ski team members.
