Cruisers begin toy campaign

    The second annual Cruisin’ For Kids Toy Drive, sponsored by the North Country Cruisers Club, is now under way throughout the greater Houlton area.
    Cash donation plastic containers have been placed in businesses throughout the Monticello, Littleton, Oakfield and Houlton area. But, on Nov. 24 during the Holiday Light Parade, members are asking the public to bring an unwrapped toy to the celebration in Market Square. Owners of the classic cars and trucks will be collecting toys during the parade, which begins at 6 p.m.. All toys are given to local charities.
    Last year, the North Country Cruisers car club members distributed 140 toys to children.
    Drop off locations for toys are Dead River Oil Company and the Houlton Chamber of Commerce.
