HOULTON — More than 200 kids, all decked out in their Halloween best, attended the third annual “Trunk or Treat” at the Houlton Wesleyan Church last week.

The Oct. 31 event seems to grow a little bit bigger every year, says Pastor Wayne Robertson. The Trunk or Treat starts off with games and prizes inside and a bonfire outside; at the end of the evening, roughly 25 volunteers backed their vehicles up and children can go from trunk to trunk gathering treats.
Robertson said the evening went well, and he expressed appreciation, both to the parents who brought their children and to the crew whose work made the event possible.
“We have a great staff of people who put a lot of time in just getting everything ready,” he added.
