    An Easton man was ordered to repay nearly $12,000 that investigators claim he stole from the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.
    Steven Shaw, 33, of Easton appeared on a felony charge of theft in Aroostook County Superior Court in Caribou late last month. According to court records, Shaw took a total of $11,752 from Jan. 1, 2005 through June 30, 2007.    No sentence was issued from the court, however, until Shaw has repaid the funds. If he is successful paying restitution, Shaw will plead to a misdemeanor offense, a lesser charge, according to court records. If the defendant is not successful, he will be sentenced for the original charge of theft.
    In other Superior Court activity, the following cases were processed;
    Terry Hafford, 49, Fort Fairfield, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, 48 hours in jail, $1,000 fine and 90-day license suspension.
    George E. Peaslee, 27, Bridgewater, assault, 15 months in jail, credit for time served.
    Tyler Maynard, 18, Presque Isle, criminal mischief, 60 days in jail, time already served; burglary, 18 months in jail; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, 60 days, time served.
    Walter Stewart, 46, Presque Isle, disorderly conduct, $300.
    Justice A. Spell, 21, Bridgewater, operating a motor vehicle after habitual offender revocation, six months in jail, credit for time served, $1,000; violation of condition of release, 10 days in jail.
