All seven of Helen’s children were in attendance for the first time in almost nine years, and Helen was excited by what her family had done for her without letting her know.
Lunch was prepared in a group effort by Helen’s grandchildren. After which, cake was served and Helen opened her many appreciated gifts and cards.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, guests included Helen’s brother and his family, as well as, other family members who came from as far away as Canada in order to surprise Helen. Helen was most pleased to celebrate her 80th birthday with all four generations of her family. Also present that day were staff and friends from Helen’s cardiopulmonary class at Houlton Regional Hospital.
She would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all who attended and to everyone who helped make her 80th birthday the best she’d ever had.
