Pick up Hockey for Adults
    Adults can play pick up hockey each Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. at the Millar Civic Center. Players must be 18 years of age or older.  Please bring a white and dark colored jersey.
Aroostook Riding Club awards
    The Aroostook Riding Club will hold its annual awards presentation and potluck supper at 6 pm. On Nov. 17 at the Houlton Fire Station. Bring a potluck dish and enjoy the ceremony honoring this year’s show winners and good sports.
Cottle memorial hoop tourney slated
    The first Brandon Cottle Memorial Basketball Tournament will be held Sunday, Dec. 9 at the Houlton Recreation Department.
    Former high school basketball players, along with the rec “legends” will be on hand to compete in the 5-on-5 double elimination tourney, which starts at 8 a.m.
    Tickets will be $7, and can be purchased in advance. There will be a raffle, door prizes and snacks during the event. All proceeds to benefit the Brandon Cottle Memorial Scholarship Fund.
