Castle Hill Grange to hold meeting, Christmas party

The Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society has 12 cookbooks left to sell. These will be retired once these 12 are gone. Call any member if you would like to purchase one. On Nov. 28, they will have a short meeting followed by a Christmas party with a potluck and Yankee swap. All members and invited guests are asked to attend for an evening of fun.

They would like you to please give them an hour of your time once a month to help keep the building operating. The fund-raisers they have are just paying their expenses and leave them with little else to do their projects. If you have enjoyed voting, going to town meetings, their suppers, having a reasonable hall to rent right in your own town, and other events, please consider helping to keep their organization going for future years. Dues are $10 per year for working members, $15 for non-working members or $100 for a lifetime membership. Their meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month from February through November. Please see any member for details.
They are requesting that anyone who has knowledge of a veteran who served in the military between 1903 to the present to write or call Natalie Maynard, 2877 State Road, Castle Hill, Maine 04757 or 764-4878. They need names, dates, and any information you can give them so they can place the names on a sign or in a book in the future. The person must have been a resident of Castle Hill at the time of service.

Birthday wishes go out to Carol Kennedy, Owen Estey, Susan Doyen, Clarissa Buck, Katherine Buck, Elizabeth Brewer, Colin Walton, Kenneth Roope, Rebecca Lafland, Andrea Bard Smith, Allen Michaud, Nancy Charette, Gunner Carter, Reg Mountain, Tyler Noyes, Brenda Boykin, Marcella Michaud, Travis Bard, Hale Cushman, John Hoffses, Heidi Currier, Tanner Smith, Shirley Dougherty, Peggy Carney, Liam Woodworth, Brandon Getchell, David Hamilton, and Janice Lovley.
