Maine state soccer teams
The Maine Soccer Coaches held their 34th annual banquet on Sunday to honor this year’s high school soccer players. Presque Isle’s Russ Mortland and Scott Wilson were both named Eastern Maine Class B all-stars. Skate with the Bears
The Friends of Maine Hockey presents their annual skate with the Bears on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. Fans of all ages are welcome to come and meet the players of the University of Maine men’s and women’s ice hockey teams at the Alfond Arena. There will also be opportunities for autographs and pictures. The event is free. Kiss 94.5 and WVOM will be broadcasting live and giving away prizes.
National baseball teams
Coast to Coast Baseball is inviting amateur baseball players between the ages of 13 to 15 and 16 to 18 to learn more about teams being formed to represent the USA in competition in Puerto Rico, Australia and Hawaii.

Girl’s youth hockey league
The girl’s youth hockey league began in October and continues to invite new participants. The program is for ages 10 to 17, and will run to March. The team meets at the Forum in Presque Isle on Tuesdays from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. For more information contact Dennis Albert at 764-3862.
Maine Winter Sports Center

Racer on-snow clinic for fourth to eighth grade students on Dec. 13 and for eighth to 12th grade students Dec. 14. For more information contact Eileen Carey at MWSC.

Presque Isle High School season passes
PIHS athletics department announces that season passes for varsity basketball and ice hockey may be purchased at the athletic office.
For anyone that reserved seat last year, these seats will be honored until December 22. After that date, reserved seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
Prices follow: basketball only $30, ice hockey only $25 and combination $50.
Season pass holders will be admitted to all regular season home games only.
Baseball fantasy trip
The Alfond Youth Center announces their 7th annual baseball fantasy trip to take place from June 16 to 21. The tentative schedule includes three games in Philadelphia with Red Sox, either the Mets or the Yankees and a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
