January 2007
•     Megan Toussaint, of Madawaska, and Brandon Ostrout, of Caribou competed in the US Youth/Junior Biathlon in Martell, Italy.
•    On Jan. 22, Washburn’s Adam Thompson was presented with the game ball for his 1,000th point.

February 2007
•    All-Aroostook cheering competition readied Houlton, Caribou, Fort Fairfield and Central Aroostook squads for the state championships.
•    Fort Fairfield’s cheerleaders picked up their second state championship title after fighting off the flu.
•    Wildcat girls’ head coach Jeff Hudson tallied up his 200th career victory as Presque Isle defeated Fort Kent, 67-58.
•    The Panthers fought a hard battle to earn a 64-58 victory over Calvary Chapel in Eastern Maine Class D quarterfinals.
•    Beaver Kelsee McLaughlin helped the Beavers to a 43-32 win over Houlton at the Bangor Auditorium in class D quarterfinals. The Beavers went on to win the runner-up plaque for Eastern Maine Class D.
•    Central Aroostook and Fort Fairfield varsity skiers hit the snow at the Class C high school state championships hosted in the County. The Panthers claimed alpine victory.
March 2007
•    Wildcat hockey knocked off Orono for the final spot in the Eastern Maine final, 4-2, but fell to the former state champions Brewer in the final match.
•    Fort Kent hosted the 15th annual Can-Am Crown Sled Dog Race.
•    Limestone native, Kevin O’Keefe, returned to Aroostook for the Skating Club of Maine’s annual Musical on Ice. O’Keefe skates in the competitive figure skating circuit.
•    The UMPI men claimed the Gentlemen’s Hockey League title winning the fifth Dunc Beaton Cup.
•    UMPI hosted a memorial basketball tournament in honor of former student, Ruel Parks.
•    The Nordic Heritage Center hosted the TAMC cross country series an U.S. Cross Country Championships. Several members of the Olympic team attended the events.
April 2007
•    The Aroostook County’s Special Olympics basketball team celebrated its 25th year by winning the state championship.
•    The 12-year-old Youth Basketball of America team qualified for the national tournament in Florida.
•    Snowboarder C.J. LaPointe, of Presque Isle, claimed a gold medal in Slalom at the United State of America Snowboard Association National Championships.

May 2007
•    Area martial artists traveled to Ellsworth for a special tournament and brought home 31 trophies.
•    Vikings claimed the team titles in the Aroostook County Track Championship. Presque Isle’s Katrina Whittier won the blue ribbon in the 400 meter and 300 meter hurdles.
•    Presque Isle High School softball coach Alan Curtis won his 200th in a game May 12.
June 2007
•    In the state track meet, Presque Isle’s Elizan McLean placed 11th in 110 meter hurdles, Wildcat Katrina Whittier crossed at 16th in 300 meter hurdles and Corey Park ranked at sixth and fifth in the 1,600 and 800 meter respectively.
•    Presque Isle, Ashland, Central Aroostook and Fort Fairfield went into quarterfinals in softball and baseball.
    Hornet baseball topped the Panthers, 3-2, and Fort Fairfield to move on to the class D Eastern Maine game.
•    Presque Isle High School students broke out their tools to assist in building a new welcome center at the Nordic Heritage Center.
