PI hockey adds a win

    PRESQUE ISLE – Wildcat hockey skated onto the ice looking to defend their home arena and add a victory to their season on Saturday, Dec. 22. PIHS faced Class A Bangor. The gamewent into overtime where Wildcat Josh Buck nudged in the tie-breaker assisted by Sean Flanagin and Brandon Daigle for the 4-3 final.     The first period of Saturday’s action went scoreless as both goalies shutout their opponents’ pucks. In the second period, Parker Hovey slapped a pass to Dylan Collins for the first goal of the afternoon. The scoreboard sparked Bangor to answer back with three of their own scores.
    But PI’s Flanagin broke away from the pack for the second Wildcat point to move within one of the Bangor column. With 53 seconds on the clock, Greg Cyr out-maneuvered the Rams’ keeper for the tying score.
    Keeper Ethan Hill defended the PI net to maintain the victory.
