Thursday, Dec. 20
10:20 a.m. Access Highway – Check on Wellbeing – Caller from a local hotel asked an officer to check on an intoxicated guest again. The caller thought the male subject was unstable.
    Action – An officer checked and found that the male subject was talking to a helpline and was paid up for the night.
12:40 p.m. Washburn Road – Criminal Mischief – Female caller reported a big scratch on the side of her vehicle. She wasn’t sure where the damage had come from, and she reported that her sister had had similar damage to her vehicle recently.
    Action – The officer put the information on record for future reference. 11:44 p.m. Bennett Drive – Criminal Threatening – Male caller from a local taxi service reported a bus driver had asked him to call the police regarding an incident with a customer. The driver had transported a female subject to Caribou from the University of Maine at Orono, who didn’t have a ticket. The driver was told a ticket would be waiting in Caribou. In Caribou the driver was confronted by the female subject’s father who attempted to pick a fight with him, even asking the driver to hit him, according to the driver. The driver did not get the name of the female subject or information on the vehicle she left in.
    Action – An officer made a record of the incident, which was to be forwarded to the bus line headquarters. The female subject’s father had said he would call the bus line to complain.
Friday, Dec. 21
2:25 p.m. Superior Drive – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Female caller reported that a car pulled out in front of her, which she blew her horn at. Afterward the vehicle’s passenger got out and yelled at her and gave her the finger, after which the vehicle proceeded to tailgate her.
    Action – An officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle, who said the female caller had come around a corner too fast, as he was backing out, almost causing an accident. The driver was upset because he had a handicapped child in the vehicle, and didn’t want them to get hurt. The driver also stated that the female caller had given him the finger, so he honked his horn, after which it happened that they were both heading to the same local business.
8:27 p.m. Bradley Street – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Female caller reported vehicles parked out in the road, blocking it.
    Action – An officer spoke with a male subject about the vehicles, which he had moved.
Saturday, Dec. 22
10:30 a.m. Access Highway – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Caller reported a payloader moving snow at a local hotel, plowing across the road and interfering with traffic.
    Action – An officer spoke with a male subject, who agreed to not plow across the road anymore.
1:02 p.m. River Road – Traffic Hazard – Caller reported a vehicle parked along the roadside where vision is obscured by the snow bank.
    Action – An officer attempted to contact the owner to get the vehicle moved.
5:59 p.m. Route 89 – Disorderly Conduct – Male caller reported a male subject sitting outside in a van, with his bass booming for over an hour.
    Action – An officer spoke with the male subject, who agreed to turn his music down.
7:47 p.m. Jacobs Avenue – Disorderly Conduct – Female caller reported the people upstairs were jumping, and she and her daughter were trying to sleep.
    Action – An officer spoke with the tenant, who’s children had a friend over and they were horsing around. The children settled down to watch a movie.
Sunday, Dec. 23
3:05 p.m. South Main Street – Criminal Trespassing – Female caller reported that she was cleaning up when a male subject with a bleeding dog showed up.
    Action – The male subject was put in contact with a veterinarian, who he took the dog to.
Monday, Dec. 24
3:25 p.m. Criminal Mischief – Female caller reported two broken eggs in her mailbox and a note.
    Action – An officer checked and found the note was actually just a blank piece of computer paper. The female subject identified a male subject who had been harassing her. An officer spoke with the male subject, who claimed that he hadn’t done anything, adding “she blamed me for throwing eggs or something.” The officer hadn’t mentioned the eggs at that point. A cease harassment order was issued to the male subject, and he was advised to have no contact with the female caller.
7:50 p.m. Glenn Street – Motor Vehicle Complaint – Caller reported cars parked on Glenn Street causing a traffic hazard.
    Action – Officers checked the area, and found four cars parked beside the road, and didn’t think they caused any kind of traffic hazard.
9:53 p.m. Woodland Road – Criminal Trespassing – Caller reported a male subject was at their place and they had asked him to leave, but he would not. The caller had never met him before and wanted to be friendly.
    Action – The officer gave the caller a brief history on the male subject and escorted him home. He was advised that if the police had to return he would be taken in to the police station.
9:55 p.m. Access Highway – Noise – Caller reported the people in a nearby apartment were making a lot of noise again.
    Action – An officer checked the area, standing outside the apartment and didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary, finding noise from the highway to be louder than the apartment.

Tuesday, Dec. 25

1:35 a.m. Herschel Street – Noise – Female caller reported her neighbor was playing his radio too loud.
    Action – An officer attempted to speak with the neighbor, but found the music turned down, but the male subject wouldn’t come to the door. The officer assumed he had a scanner.
10:48 a.m. Caribou Street – Dog at Large – Caller located a black Lab with a broken paw.
    Action – An officer tried to locate the dog, but was unsuccessful. The officer also attempted to contact the suspected owners, but they were not at home.
2:41 p.m. West Presque Isle Road – Suspicious Person – Male caller reported a male subject walking down the road, and looking into mailboxes.
    Action – An officer checked the area, but didn’t locate anyone.
9:16 p.m. Sweden Street – Suspicious Person – Male caller reported some kids on the roof of a local business throwing stuff down onto Sweden Street.
9:40 p.m. Bennett Drive – Intoxicated Pedestrian – Male caller reported an intoxicated male subject stumbling around near a local business.
    Action – An officer located the male subject and gave him a ride home.
Wednesday, Dec. 26

10:45 a.m. Access Highway – Animal – Caller reported a stray black Lab running around Sweden Street.
    Action – The owner was called, and informed of where the dog was. The owner went to pick it up.
12:51 p.m. Access Highway – Dog at Large – Female caller reported that she had a stray dog at her house that she had taken in so it wouldn’t get hit by a car. The dog was a husky with one blue eye and one brown eye.
    Action – The animal control officer was paged, and he went to pick the dog up. However it was found that the dog actually belonged to the female caller. The female caller was charged with filing a false report.
