PRESQUE ISLE – John C. Alley, 72, died Saturday morning January 12, 2008, at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. He was born in Wade on March 20, 1935, the youngest son of Braighton C. and Crystal S. (Odonal) Alley. He worked as a security man at Potato Service, Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Patricia (Clark) Alley of Presque Isle, a son John C. Alley Jr. of Hobbs, NM; a daughter Mahalah Waneta Davenport and her companion Malcolm Witham of Wade; 7 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; two ex-daughter -in-laws Theresa Alley of Waterville and Jonna Aldrich of Texas; the mother of his children Vernna Alley of Caribou; many nieces and nephews; two brother-in-laws, Thomas Clark and his wife Heidi of Mapleton, and Wilbur Clark of Presque Isle. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister Muriel Farley; three brothers, Garold, Vernum and Hugh; and a granddaughter Anita Lee Rushinol.
Relatives and friends called 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wed. at the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. A reception will follow the service in gathering area of the funeral home. Spring interment will be in North Main Street Catholic Cemetery, Presque Isle.
