To the editor:
We’re at war with the most dangerous enemy that has ever faced mankind in his long climb from the swamp to the stars. It’s been said if we lose this war and in so doing lose this way of freedom of ours, history will record with the greatest astonishment that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening.
These words are as true today as they were when Ronald Reagan spoke them at the height of the Cold War. We rose to the challenge and defeated that great enemy. Today, we are faced with another great evil that again threatens to destroy the foundations of our freedom and our very lives. For those who believe in a strong national defense and/or for those would like to participate in the national debate on this topic at this critical moment, there is an opportunity for your voice to be heard.
