BANGOR – The Presque Isle High School swim team swam past their rivals, the Caribou Vikings, but lost to Hampden Academy in the swim lanes of the Bangor YWCA on Saturday.
The Wildcat A relay squad tagged off for first place in the 200-yard medley relay in 2:25.04 including Allison Young, Karrie Brawn, Courtney Hoffses and Emilee Currie.
The B team (Shae Alder, Desiree Higgins, Dara Raymond and Rilee Currie swam to fifth in 2:49.54.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay Brawn, Higgins, R. Currie and Raymond finished second in 2:17.11. Alder, Divya Bisht, E. Curiee and Jesse Lucas placed fifth in 2:26.81.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay Young, Hoffses, Raymond and E. Currie pulled into second in 4:52.66; while the B team of Alder, R. Currie, Higgins and Paige McEachern finished fourth in 5:34.46.

Currie 1:13.18. 500-yard freestyle: 3, R. Currie 8:06.65. 100-yard backstroke: 2, Young 1:22.30. 100-yard breaststroke: 1, Brawn 1:31.15 and 4, McEachern 1:41.93.
The Wildcat boys also had a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with Gerard Desjardin, Matt Harris, Mike Yu and Kyle Gilson combining times for 2:23.44. In the 200-yard freestyle relay Yu, Harris, Steve Goulet and Gilson finished second in 2:02.79. The B team (Ethan York, Desjardins, Cameron Winter and Jacob Brawn came into fourth in 2:24.80. Desjardins, Winter, Goulet and Brawn combined forces to finish third in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 5:13.16.
