SCATV Club prepares for elections

    PRESQUE ISLE – Snow may be on the ground, with ATVs put away until warmer weather arrives, but one local ATV club is already planning for the 2008 season.     “The Star City ATV Club will hold its election of officers on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Opportunity Training Center. We’re urging all members to attend and vote,” said Sadie Billings, club secretary.
    The election will be held in conjunction with the club’s monthly meeting which begin at 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month.
    The following is a list of individuals and the respective offices they’ll be running for: Dick Howlett, president; Gary Welch, vice president; Sadie Billings, secretary; Anne Marie Marquis, treasurer; Albert Billings, trailmaster; and Arnold York, assistant trailmaster.
    Those vying for two-year seats on the Board of Directors include: Harold Decker, Kathi Howlett, Pat Harstgrove, Carl and Bonnie Wilcox. Looking to fill a one-year term on the Board of Directors are: Brent Marquis, Mike Howlett, Ron McPherson, Ed Szrejna and Brad Young.
