Vehicles collide at Fort St. intersection

    Two vehicles collided at the intersection of U.S. Route 1 and Fort Street on Saturday morning causing minor injury to one woman and extensively damaging both vehicles, according to local police.     Stewart Cousins, 70, of Caribou, was traveling north on Route 1 when he apparently drove through a red traffic light, police said. Fred Butler, 63 of Fort Fairfield was attempting to make a left turn onto Fort Street when the collision occurred, according to police.
    A passenger in the Butler vehicle, Naomi Rossignol, was transported to Cary Medical Center with complaints of leg and hip pain.
    Cousins was driving a 1995 Dodge pick-up truck, while Butler was in a 2003 Chevrolet van.
    Investigating the accident was Caribou Police Officer John Deveau.
