Last week the middle school civil rights group organized a “No Name Calling Week” for our school. The purpose of this activity was to make everyone aware of unkind things they may say and to replace those unkind words with kind, thoughtful words. Each class made kindness chains that were displayed in the gym. Also, all students and staff members wore white ribbons each day to symbolize their participation in choosing kind words instead of hurtful words.
Those members involved with planning this week were Micayla Fitzpatrick, Jaime Theriault, Hannah Chapla, Emily Transue, Cassidy Clark, Deserae Brewer, Toni Gillotti, Samantha Palmer and Rachel Harmon. This team is supported by Mrs. Harbison.
