CHS student qualifies for Maine ski team

    RUMFORD – Six cross country skiers from Aroostook County represented their high schools at the Sassi Memorial race in Rumford over the first weekend of February. The event is the largest and most competitive high school cross country ski race in the state of Maine with over 400 participants.     The competition is also a qualifying event for skiers to represent Maine at the New England J2 Championships at the end of the season. Finn Bondeson, of Caribou High School, raced fast enough to qualify for the Maine team.
