The 8th grade squad from Washburn concluded their winter season with consecutive victories over Fort Fairfield and Limestone. The victory over the Tigers of Fort Fairfield earned the Beavers the Aroostook League Eastern Division Championship for 2008. The final victory over the Eagles of Limestone capped off an overall record of 11-5. The Beavers competed against teams from Woodland, New Sweden, Ashland, Easton, Mars Hill, Madawaska, Limestone and Fort Fairfield.
