‘Night at the Art Gallery’ event set

PRESQUE ISLE – Momentum Aroostook will host a ‘Night at the Art Gallery’ at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Art Gallery.    The event, open to Momentum Aroostook members, is as much for art lovers as it is for the person who doesn’t know anything about art. Facilitated by Reed Art Gallery Director Sandra Huck, participants will learn about everything from etiquette tips to use in an art gallery and during art receptions, to clues on how to critique a piece of art and get the most out of an art exhibition. Participants will ‘practice’ those tips and tricks as they study art pieces from the Hitchcock Collection, which are now on display in the Reed Art Gallery.
Refreshments will be served. Momentum Aroostook plans to end the evening with dinner at Café Sorpreso. The gallery event is free; participants must pay for their own dinners.
Momentum Aroostook is a group of highly motivated Aroostook County young people between the ages of 20 and 40, connecting for career, social and community betterment.
Please RSVP for this event by March 12. For more information about this event, please contact Rachel Rice at 768-9447. For more information about Momentum Aroostook or to learn about free membership, visit www.momentumaroostook.com.
